Andrew Rhee was raised as a third-culture kid, growing up in the United States, Asia, and Europe. Like (he assumes) all the great directors, he was kind of a loser in high school, which left him plenty of time to fall in love with movies.

With a deep love for compelling characters, he constantly strives to diversify the identities and experiences shown onscreen, drawing on his multicultural background to inform his approach.

His work has been recognized at the Addy’s, AICP, ANDY's, Director's Guild of America, Television Academy, Telly’s, and the One Show. He currently works as a writer and filmmaker for the Google Creative Lab.
